Roberta E. Burttram left us to be with our Lord August 29, 2012.  She lived a joyous life for 88 years.  Roberta was born January 25, 1924 in Mount Olive, Alabama to Marvin and Euela Essary.  She was married to Glen W. Burttram for 65 years. They moved to Santa Fe, NM in 1948 where they raised their 4 children.  She loved to sing, dance and play bridge.  Roberta was dedicated to caring for children - her own and many others.  She was active with her husband and children in the First Presbyterian Church for many years.  Her best friends were in the Sewing Club, a group that socialized, traveled and camped together often.  She loved singing with the Sweet Adeline’s, playing the ukulele and the piano by ear.  Roberta was known for her wonderful home cooking and love of her family.

Roberta is survived by her daughters, Faye Wilcoxen (Max), Pat Murray (Bob), Kathy McGee (Larry), son, Robert Burttram (Carla), 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and her sisters, Mary Field and Martha Leonard.  She was well loved and will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Friday August 31st at McGee Memorial Chapel.   A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1st at 1:00pm.  Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A reception to celebrate Roberta’s life will follow at the home of Pat and Bob Murray.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons:  Max Wilcoxen, Jr., Glen Carlberg, David Murray, Jeremy Burttram, Kenneth Simmons, Steven Wilcoxen and Samuel Wilcoxen.
